Evoking The Beatles’ famous 1969 rooftop concert, The Weeklings filmed the new video for their cover of The Beatles’ “I’ve Just Seen a Face” on an Asbury Park roof. Band members Lefty Weekling (Glen Burtnik), Zeek Weekling (Bob Burger), Rocky Weekling (John Merjave) and Smokestack Weekling (Joe Bellia) are seen performing — and being replaced by younger, female musicians (Laila Ortiz, Skylar Moody, Michelle Merjave and Annalise DeLuca) — on the roof of the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel, with its scenic view of the ocean and the Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre complex. Listeners also gather below, point up and try to figure out what’s going on, as happened with The Beatles in ’69.
The band came up with a vibrant new arrangement of the love song, which initially appeared on The Beatles’ 1965 albums Help! (in Europe) and Rubber Soul (in the United States).
When the song premiered, Jan. 18 on SiriusXM satellite radio’s The Beatles Channel, Burtnik said, in an interview, that the band recorded it with the strategy of, “That song, everybody knows. It’s a very familiar Beatles song. So everybody knows the melody. But let’s just infuse a little bit of … maybe a little more modern-rock underpinning. … This is music from the great canon of our lifetime. And playing with it, carefully, respectfully … it’s a really fun exercise, at the very least.”

The weeklings are a really great band in Beatles style. I’m a big fan I need more bumper stickers where can I get some.
