New dates for Aerosmith’s Peace Out tour — postponed after three shows in September because of frontman Steve Tyler’s vocal cord problems — have been announced. The show that had originally been scheduled for The Prudential Center in Newark on Dec. 28, 2023, will now take place on Dec. 28, 2024, with The Black Crowes opening.
According to a press release, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows. Ticketholders will receive more information via email.”
Tickets that were unsold or returned after the postponement will go on sale April 12 at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.
The tour is being billed as Aerosmith’s farewell tour. In addition to Tyler, the band will include Joe Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton but not original Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, who has not performed with the band since 2020. John Douglas will fill in for him, as he has since 2020.
Kramer “made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health,” the band said in a statement at the time the tour was initially announced, in May 2023.
Dates are currently scheduled from Sept. 20, at The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, to Feb. 26, at The KeyBank Center in Buffalo.
Other dates on the tour will include The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Sept. 23; and Madison Square Garden in New York, Feb. 23.
