The Montclair-based educational organization Jazz House Kids has put together an all-star lineup for its 15th anniversary concert, which takes place at Prudential Hall at NJPAC in Newark, Oct. 24. Singer Andra Day, percussionist Sheila E., saxophonist David Sanborn and keyboardist Kenny Barron will perform, as will keyboardist Matthew Whitaker (a recent “Showtime at the Apollo” winner) and other Jazz House Kids alumni. Christian McBride will serve as musical director, and actress S. Epatha Merkerson will host.

Jazz House Kids also produces the free, annual Montclair Jazz Festival, whose 2017 edition takes place Aug. 12 from noon to 9 p.m. at Nishuane Park. Performers will include Dee Dee Bridgewater & Memphis Soulphony, A Christian McBride Situation (featuring DJ Logic and Bernard Purdie), the Cyrus Chestnut Trio, the Ted Chubb Band, the Jazz House Collective and Louis Prima Jr. & The Witnesses.
