Melissa Etheridge will perform at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, Oct. 24.

The Asbury Park Music + Film Festival planned for April has been cancelled, with Melissa Etheridge’s April 25 concert at the Paramount Theatre moved to Oct. 24, and Lucinda Williams’ April 23 Paramount show simply cancelled.

Tickets already bought for Etheridge will be honored in October, and tickets bought for Williams or Etheridge can be refunded through points of purchase (those who purchased through the Stone Pony box office can email boxofficequestions@gmail.com.)

At this point, festival organizers have no plans to mount the festival itself later this year, and are looking to 2022.

“The one thing that is not cancelled this year is the APMFF’s mission and our commitment to the kids we support, teach and inspire,” said APMFF board co-chair Tom Donovan in a press release. “With the generous support of our partners and sponsors, we will continue to do that. Let’s hope 2022 can bring us all together — in person — again.”
