Asbury Park Theater Company benefit will feature Remember Jones, Constantine Maroulis, others

Remember Jones and his 17-piece big band will be among the performers at “A Big Band Holiday to Remember,” a benefit for The Asbury Park Theater Company that will take place at The Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Other performers will include “American Idol” alumnus, Tony nominee (for “Rock of Ages”) and recording artist Constantine Maroulis, Broadway performers Brian O’Brien and Jeanne Montano, singer Layonne Holmes (of Motor City Revue, The Matt O’Ree Band and other groups), Brian Kirk (of the band Brian Kirk & the Jirks) and Grace Allison and Emily DeMaio, singer-actresses who have performed in past Asbury Park Theater Company shows.

Four local arts supporters will be honored: Asbury Park councilwoman Eileen Chapman (who is also the director of The Bruce Springsteen Archives and & Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch), Asbury Park music teacher Tanya Peterson, Jersey Shore Arts Center executive director Jeanne Power-Galli and Asbury Park director of business development Sylvia Sylvia-Cioffi.
