Atlantic City’s new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino announces star-studded lineup

by JAY LUSTIG

The new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City has announced 60 shows, mostly scheduled for the summer.

Atlantic City has a major new entertainment venue. Actually, two of them.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which will open in late June at the site of the former Trump Taj Mahal, has announced about 60 shows — mostly scheduled during the summer months — for its 7,000-capacity Mark G. Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and its nearly 2,000-seat Theater at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Among the types of shows booked are rock (Kid Rock, Steely Dan, Counting Crows, Bush), country (Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Florida Georgia Line), comedy (Amy Schumer, Howie Mandel, Jon Lovitz) and theater (“Kinky Boots,” “Rock of Ages”).

Tickets will go on sale Friday, through Ticketmaster, with pre-sales, in some cases, beginning today.
