Michael Wolff, author of the controversial book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” will make an appearance at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, May 18. Tickets, priced from $35 to $99.50, go on sale Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.; visit wellmonttheater.com.
The event is being billed as “An Evening With Michael Wolff.”
The book, which depicts the Trump White House as a place of chaos and incompetence, is a No. 1 bestseller, and has been the subject of countless news articles after its release in January. “Not since Harry Potter has a new book caught fire in this way,” wrote a reviewer in the British magazine, The Economist.
Trump, for the record, has called “Fire and Fury” a “phony book,” and Tweeted that it is “Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist.”
Trump has also called Wolff “a total loser.” That quote is, actually, prominently displayed on the Wellmont’s web site.
“Where do I send the box of chocolates?” Wolff asked in a January interview on television’s “Today” show.
“You think he’s helping you sell books?” host Savannah Guthrie asked.
“Absolutely,” Wolff replied.
