In addition to presenting music on the beach in Wildwood the weekend of Aug. 20-22, the first Barefoot Country Music Festival (postponed from 2020) will offer a Thurs., Aug. 19 kickoff concert, with Lee Brice, LANCO and more acts to be announced.
Tickets are now on sale for this show, as well as the entire festival, at barefootcountrymusicfest.com.
Brice reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 last year, but did not become seriously ill. His most recent album — Hey World, released in November — includes three songs that reached the Top 40 of the country charts: “I Hope You’re Happy Now” (a duet with Carly Pearce), “One of Them Girls” and “Memory I Don’t Mess With.”
The rest of the festival’s lineup currently includes Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, The Zac Brown Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Currington, Jimmie Allen, Jon Pardi, Chris Lane, Lindsay Ell, Ingrid Andress and Carolyn Miller. Time slots are not yet available.
This will easily be the largest country music festival ever presented in New Jersey. The festival has not announced what, if any, social distancing measures will be enforced.
