Four concerts in July and August will make up the Bickford Summer Jazzfest at the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Township, with a variety of food trucks on hand for each show for those who want to picnic on the museum’s grounds or tailgate in the parking lot.
The first show will be Dan Levinson‘s third annual Midsummer Night’s Jazz Party, at which reed player Levinson will be joined by singer-guitarist Molly Ryan, trumpeter Mike Davist, pianist Mark Shane, trombonist Harvey Tibbs, bassist Rob Adkins and drummer Kevin Dorn. (For a chance to win two tickets to this show, send an email to njartscontest@gmail.com by midnight July 7 with the word “Levinson” in the subject line.)
The 17-piece Full Count Big Band, featuring singer Joe Ferrara, will play songs associated with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin and others, July 20.
Singer, composer and trumpeter Bria Skonberg performs on July 24, and the series concludes on Aug. 3 with singer-saxophonist Danny Bacher and Friends.
Each show will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the food trucks on hand starting at 5 p.m.
