Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will team up for a rare double bill at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
The show is billed “only Tri-State appearance together.”
Joel, 75, and Nicks, 76, have performed shows like these before, and appeared onstage together, at least briefly, at them. Check out, below, a video of them singing a fiery version of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” — Nicks’ 1981 hit duet with Tom Petty — in June 2023 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Neither artist has released a new studio album in more than a decade, though they both did put out singles this year: Joel, the love song “Turn the Lights Back On,” in February; and Nicks, the women’s rights anthem “The Lighthouse,” in September.
