BOB DYLAN
Bob Dylan will perform at the Event Center in Atlantic City on July 10, with tickets going on sale April 22 at 10 a.m. They are priced from $79 to $149; visit theborgata.com.
Mavis Staples is opening shows on Dylan’s summer tour and is confirmed for the shows before and after Atlantic City (July 8 at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, and July 12 at CMAC in Canandaigua, N.Y.), but she is not listed on the Borgata web site. That could just be an oversight, though. The event is not yet listed on Dylan’s web site, bobdylan.com. (April 21 update: Staples is indeed going to open the show.)
Dylan, who will turn 75 on May 24, is currently on tour in Japan, and starts his U.S. tour in early June, on the West Coast.
Dylan’s next album, Fallen Angels, comes out on May 20, and features covers of standards such as “Young at Heart,” “All the Way,” “Skylark,” “All or Nothing at All,” “It Had to Be You,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” and “That Old Black Magic.”
