Brandi Carlile will headline this year’s Count Basie Center Summer Gala, taking place at the Basie’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre in Red Bank, July 8.
Tickets, priced from $99 to $650, go on sale April 28 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales for Basie members starting April 26 at 10 a.m.; visit ticketmaster.com.
According to the theater’s website, thebasie.org, “Funds raised from the gala will go towards the Count Basie Center’s Forever For Everyone Endowment’s promise of providing hundreds of scholarships to study at the Count Basie Center Academy of the Arts, Conservatory of Music and other partnership programs.”
Carlile’s last studio album was the Grammy-winning In These Silent Days, in 2021. This is her only currently scheduled New Jersey show, though she also will open for Pink at Citi Field in Queens, N.Y., Aug. 3; and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Sept. 18-19.
Past headliners of the Basie Summer Gala include Ringo Starr; Earth, Wind & Fire; Blondie; Daryl Hall & John Oates; and Norah Jones.
