Bruce Springsteen performs with The Gaslight Anthem at the Sea.Hear.Now festival.
Bruce Springsteen joined The Gaslight Anthem at the start of their set at the Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park, Sept. 15, for their songs “History Books” and “American Slang.” You can watch videos of both songs below, posted by the Spring-Nuts fan organization to YouTube.
Springsteen also performed on The Gaslight Anthem’s studio version of “History Books” on their 2023 album of that name. He had never performed the song in concert with them before, though.
Springsteen also performed “Kitty’s Back” with The Trey Anastasio Band, earlier in the day, and will headline the day with his own E Street Band.
On Sept. 14, Springsteen joined Danny Clinch’s Tangiers Blues Band (plus Jake Clemons, Robert Randolph and others) at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, for “Lucille,” “Down the Road a Piece,” “Boom Boom” and other songs.

Still feels surreal that Bruce Springsteen graced us with his presence during our set for History Books + American Slang yesterday.
