CANDICE GUARDINO
Candice Guardino will tape her “Italian Bred” show as a comedy special, Jan. 18 at 2 and 8 p.m. at The Two River Theater in Red Bank. For tickets, visit tworivertheater.org.
According to a press release, Guardino, in this show, “slips in and out of multiple family characters, recounts funny
childhood moments, and sings iconic songs … Italian Bred will remind audiences of their own unique upbringing and
unforgettably humorous memories.”
Guardino has previously said about the show, “I would say it’s a theatrical comedy filled with a bunch of impressions of my family that I literally derived from real-life stories that have happened to me … There’s some tears. There’s some singing. It is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience with one person on stage having to deal with all of these stories and then doing it with a video screen behind her because there’s a bunch of fun characters that jump on screen with me.”
Sam Brownfield, who has previously worked with Jim Gaffigan and other comedians, will direct.
It has not yet been announced how the special will be distributed.
