The Barefoot County Music Fest, which takes place in Wildwood June 19-21, has promised that it will feature some of “country music biggest stars,” and it certainly has lived up to that with its first artist announcement. Carrie Underwood will be one of the co-headliners.
The festival will feature more than 30 acts on multiple stages on the Wildwood beach. A press release says the event will be “the Northeast’s largest outdoor country music festival, occupying a 27-acre playground on the beach.”
Early bird tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Jan. 10. Visit barefootcountrymusicfest.com.
The event will be produced by the Charlotte-based Southern Entertainment company, which has a history of attracting major names to festivals it produces, including the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and the Wild & Wonderful Country Music Fest in Morgantown, W.V.
Underwood’s most recent hit single — “Drinking Alone,” from her 2018 Cry Pretty album — came out in November.
