Livingston native Chelsea Handler will discuss her latest book, “Life Will Be the Death of Me: … and you too!,” Sept. 19 at the First Congregational Church in Montclair. The event will be a fundraiser for the the Montclair-based organization Succeed2gether (a tutoring program aimed at closing the opportunity gap).

Tickets are available through Eventbrite. For information and updates, visit succeed2gether.org.

“Life Will Be the Death of Me” is a memoir by the former “Chelsea Lately” host. According to publicity material, it is the “all-true story of Chelsea Handler’s year of self-discovery — featuring a nerdily brilliant psychiatrist, a shaman, four Chow Chows, some well-placed security cameras, various family members (living and departed), friends, assistants, and a lot of edibles.”

The Montclair Literary Festival is also a fundraiser for Succeed2gether. The next edition of the annual festival is scheduled to take place March 25-29, at various Montclair locations.

The third annual festival, which took place in March of this year, included appearances by luminaries such as Joyce Carol Oates and Richard Thompson.
