Chicago will team with the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson for a tour next summer that will come to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, July 11; and the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, July 13. Tickets go on sale Dec. 3 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.
Among the musicians performing with Wilson will be his former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin.
The tour is scheduled to last from June 7 to July 25, and also will include a show at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., July 15.
Jardine as well as the late Beach Boys members Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson (Brian Wilson’s brothers) sang backing vocals on Chicago’s 1974 hit, “Wishing You Were Here.”
Chicago still includes three members who were among the group’s co-founders in 1967: singer and keyboardist Robert Lamm, trumpeter Lee Loughnane, and trombonist James Pankow.
