An all-star lineup of comedians will raise money for The Reverend Bob Levy by performing at the Stress Factory comedy club in New Brunswick, April 17 at 8 p.m.
Colin Quinn, Jim Norton, Artie Lange, Jim Florentine, Vinnie Brand and Rich Vos are all on the bill. Tickets are $40 ($49 with buffet, $60 for VIP seating); visit stressfactory.com.
Levy, who is 55 and lives in Deptford, was a regular on the comedy club circuit until last summer. According to a GoFundMe page dedicated to raising money for him:
“Bob Levy was stopped at a red light and got hit by a drunk driver who was going 40 mph. He was seriously injured and hasn’t been able to really work since July 2017.
“He sees a neurologist and other specialists multiple times a week and needs neck and back epidurals just to sit comfortably.
“Needless to say, he has fallen behind on his financial obligations and has mounting medical bills as it can take years to get insurance payment.
“The driver that hit him has the minimum coverage of only $5,000.00.
“Bob has always been the first to help others and has done hundreds of free comedy shows for others.
“Any bit of help is much appreciated.”
