MARCIA BALL

Though it is not ready to announce its co-headliners, The Crawfish Fest has announced some of the acts for its next event, which will take place May 30-31 and June 1 at The Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta.

These include Marcia Ball, Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, Southern Avenue, Bonerama, Rockin’ Dopsie & the Zydeco Twisters, Corey Harris, Carolyn Wonderland, Maggie Koerner, Eddie 9V, Amis Du Teche, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, United by Music USA, Ocean Avenue Stompers and Cold Hill.

Louisiana native Michael Arnone began presenting annual New Jersey Crawfish Fests, featuring Louisiana music and food, in 1989. Because of the pandemic, there was no Crawfish Fest in 2020 and 2021, but it returned in 2022, with Tab Benoit, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Samantha Fish and others. There were no Crawfish Fests last year, or this year.

Artists who have performed the Crawfish Fest, over the years, include Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Trombone Shorty, The Funky Meters, Little Feat, Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas, Taj Mahal, Buckwheat Zydeco and Railroad Earth.

Tickets for the 2025 Crawfish Fest will go on sale Oct. 1. Visit crawfishfest.com.
