The 29th annual Crawfish Fest — taking place at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, June 1-3 — has lined up one of its most impressive lineups yet, with Tab Benoit, Taj Mahal, Marcia Ball, Samantha Fish, George Porter Jr., Bonerama, Jon Cleary, Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone and many others performing on three stages.
Of course, for many attending the festival, the authentic Louisiana food — boiled crawfish and jambalaya and po’ boys and so on — is as much of an attraction as the music.
This is also a camping festival. Overnight camping begins on June 1, and there is music for campers only, June 1-2.
