Jim Jarmusch’s new film “Paterson” will be released on Dec. 28, but the William Carlos Williams Center for the Performing Arts in Rutherford will offer a preview showing, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Jarmusch himself will attend a 6:30 reception, and introduce the film. Tickets are $40; visit williamscenter.org.
In the movie, which was filmed in Paterson, Adam Driver plays a man who works as a bus driver in Paterson and also is a poet, inspired by the work of Rutherford native William Carlos Williams (who famously wrote about Paterson in his five-volume epic poem, “Paterson”).
On Dec. 4, Driver won the Best Actor award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, for his work in this movie.
