Wynton Marsalis will bring his Quintet to the Exit Zero Jazz Festival in Cape May, Nov. 12.

For many people living in New Jersey, which Hillary Clinton won easily on Tuesday, a musical getaway this weekend might be called for. And it just so happens that the Fall 2016 edition of the biannual Exit Zero Jazz Festival will take place in Cape May, Nov. 11-13.

Wynton Marsalis, who co-headlined the Fall 2015 edition of the festival with his Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, returns with his Quintet to co-headline again. Other performers at the festival — which takes place at various venues throughout the picturesque resort town — include Cécile McLorin Salvant, Pat Martino, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Paul Jost, Red Baraat, the High and Mighty Brass Band, Frank Bey and Davina and the Vagabonds.

Free shuttle buses will transport festival-goers from the downtown Convention Hall to the Schmidtchen Theater at Lower Cape May Regional High School, where Salvant and Marsalis will perform on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively. It’s about a 10-minute drive.

Here is the festival lineup, as well as videos of most of the acts. For information, visit ExitZeroJazzFestival.com.
