Fifteen albums to be added to State Theatre’s outside mural

The State Theatre in New Brunswick will unveil its updated album-spine mural, Oct. 30.

The State Theatre’s record collection is growing. Artist Les Floyd is adding 15 album spines to the 11 that are already on his mural, on a wall outside the New Brunswick theater. The official unveiling ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 2:30 p.m. Jim Babjak of The Smithereens (whose Especially for You was in the first batch) and Glen Burtnik (whose Heroes and Zeros is in the second batch) will attend, with a reception in the theater’s lobby, with refreshments, following.

Those interested in attending should RSVP by emailing community@stnj.org.

The albums are all by artists who have performed at The State Theatre.

Glen Burtnik’s Heroes and Zeros
