A documentary about Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, “Between Me and My Mind,” has been added to the schedule of the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival. It will be shown at the Paramount Theatre, April 28 at 7 p.m., and be followed by a question-and-answer session with the film’s producer, Jamie Schutz, moderated by Relix magazine editor-in-chief Mike Greenhaus.
Tickets go on sale April 3 at 10 p.m. via ticketmaster.com.
A press release describes the film as a look into Anastasio’s creative process, and says it “captures Trey as he works through some of his most personal song ideas to date, placing his relationships with friends and family at its core. At the same time, he prepares for one of Phish’s legendary New Year’s Eve shows at Madison Square Garden, culminating with the exhilarating, elaborately produced moment when the clock strikes midnight on-stage.”
Anastasio will release a new album, Ghosts of the Forest, on April 12, and his shows at the United Palace Theatre in New York, April 12-13, are sold out.
