Socially distanced videos made by Noyonika Gupta, Tangie Cobb and McKenzie Hegarty have propelled them to the final round of the State Theatre’s Broadway Singing Contest. You can watch the videos below.

Gupta sings “Before It’s Over” (from “Dogfight”), Cobb sings “I Know Where I’ve Been” (from “Hairspray”) and Hegarty sings “Journey to the Past” (from “Anastasia”).

Votes can be cast on the New Brunswick theater’s web site, here: stnj.org/events/broadway-singing-contest.

The winner, to be announced July 1, will receive two tickets to each of the five shows in the theater’s next Broadway series (specific shows TBA).

Like all New Jersey theaters, the State Theatre is facing a challenging time, financially. Through June 30, any donation made (until the theater reaches a total of $64,000) will be doubled via a challenge match created by the theater’s Board of Trustees and some anonymous donors. For information, visit stnj.org/support/donate.
