Free shows on Asbury Park beach this summer, in Jams on the Sand series

Hayley Jane and the Primates will present a free show on the beach in Asbury Park, Aug. 10.

Every Thursday this summer, there will be a free rock concert on the beach in Asbury Park, in the Jams on the Sand series. And all will feature a national headliner.

The shows will take place at the Beach Stage of the Anchor’s Bend, at the Convention Hall complex, and are sponsored by the Anchor’s Bend, ElmThree Productions and the Asbury Park Press.

The were eight shows in the series last year, when it debuted. This year there will be 11.

These will be the headliners:

June 29: Ripe
July 6: The Devon Allman Band
July 13: Tom Hamilton’s American Babies featuring Holly Bowling
July 20: RAQ
July 27: Bonerama
Aug. 3: Midnight North featuring Grahame Lesh
Aug. 10: Hayley Jane & The Primates
Aug. 17: Roots of Creation
Aug. 24: Scott Sharrard and the Adam Ezra Group
Aug. 31: Start Making Sense (Talking Heads tribute)

In the event of rain, the shows will be moved to Convention Hall’s promenade area.
