George Clinton, Anthony Bourdain, Paul Rudd, Phoebe Snow are among NJ Hall of Fame nominees

George Clinton has been nominated for the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Funk pioneer George Clinton, the late chef and author Anthony Bourdain, the late singer-songwriter Phoebe Snow and actors Paul Rudd, Michael B. Jordan and Nathan Lane are among the 50 nominees for the New Jersey Hall of Fame‘s Class of 2022. Public voting will take place online, here, through May 20.

Other nominees include former Gov. Christine Todd Whitman, film director Brian De Palma, former Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, authors Janet Evanovich and John McPhee, the late composer George Theophilus Walker and the late George Shultz, who served as President Reagan’s secretary of state for more than six years in the ’80s.

George Clinton recently celebrated his 80th birthday with a guest-filled concert at NJPAC in Newark.

Bourdain died in 2018; Snow, in 2011; Walker, in 2018; and Shultz, in 2021.

The date for this year’s induction ceremony has not been announced yet.
