The 10th annual Groove in the Grove festival will take place this year as planned, Aug. 16 at Vasa Park in Budd Lake, with bluesy singer-songwriter Peter Karp headlining.
“Our spacious outdoor setting allows for easy social distancing while enjoying all the best aspects of an outdoor festival!,” organizers write on the festival’s web site.
The indie festival, which is presented by the Skylands Songwriters Guild, will also feature e’lissa jones, Loretta Hagen, Marion Halliday, Gregg Cagno, Grace Morrison and Kevin DeFeo, as well as food and craft vendors, and an outdoor bar.
There will be two stages, with more artists to be confirmed later.
Karp’s latest album, Magnificent Heart, features support from musicians such as Kim Wilson of The Fabulous Thunderbirds on harmonica, and John Ginty, who has played with The Dixie Chicks and The Allman Betts Band (among many others), on organ.
