Guns N’ Roses will perform at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Aug. 15.

Guns N’ Roses’ summer tour will include a concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Aug. 15. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Feb. 22; visit ticketmaster.com.

(JUNE 2 UPDATE: The opening act for this show has been announced and it is … The Pretenders!)

The band is scheduled to play Europe and Israel in June and July and North American in August and September. They posted the dates to social media today with a message that read, “Gunners, we can’t F’N’ wait! The 2023 World Tour is coming. See you soon.”

Guns N’ Roses which has released just one album of original songs in the last 30 years (2008’s Chinese Democracy), played at MetLife Stadium in 2021 and also stopped at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City in September of that year. There has been no announcement yet about tour members for this year, but until informed otherwise, I think it’s safe to assume it will be the same seven-piece lineup as on the 2021 and 2022 GNR dates: singer Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Richard Fortus, bassist Duff McKagan, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese, and drummer Frank Ferrer.

Slash was out of the band from 1996 to 2016, and McKagan from 1997 to 2016, but the band has toured frequently, all over the world, since then.
