Hillary and Chelsea Clinton will make a joint appearance at the Women’s Club of Ridgewood, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., to talk about co-authoring “The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience” (Simon & Schuster, 464 pp., $35), which is scheduled to be released on Oct. 1.
This is not a book signing. An unsigned copy of book will be included in the admission price, which is $45.

In the book, the Clintons write about more than 100 women, including Harriet Tubman, Malala Yousafzai, Rachel Carson, Marie Curie, Shirley Chisholm, Ellen DeGeneres and Diana Nyad.
“To us, they are all gutsy women — leaders with the courage to stand up to the status quo, ask hard questions, and get the job done,” Hillary Clinton said in a press release. “This book is a continuation of a conversation Chelsea and I have been having since she was a little girl, and we are excited to welcome others into that conversation.”
Chelsea Clinton added the the women “share a fierce optimism that their work and lives will make a difference in the world.”
