James Taylor and Jackson Browne, who had planned to tour together in 2020 but had to postpone because of the pandemic, have announced new dates. And in an optimistic sign for the summer of 2021 concert season, they are still planning to perform this summer.
Their tour will begin July 29 in Chicago and include shows at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, Aug. 25; the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., Aug. 27; and the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Aug. 28.
Tickets bought for previously scheduled shows at these venues will be honored.
Taylor posted on Facebook: “Jackson and I want to thank all those who have graciously held onto their tickets; we appreciate your continued patience as we navigate these unchartered waters. We didn’t want to have to cancel this tour that we’ve been waiting so long to perform together, so we’ve been working to get these dates rescheduled to a time period when the U.S. is reopened and safe to gather for a concert. Of course, we will be keeping a close eye and abide with all health and safety protocols throughout each venue and state. We can’t wait to get back on stage and see you out there soon.”
Browne tested positive for the coronavirus in March 2020 but experienced only minor symptons.
