Jay Weinberg has posted on social media that a “Drum Cam” video of him performing “Radio Nowhere” with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona on June 22 of this year will be posted on YouTube at 7 p.m. EST on Aug. 2. At that time, it will also be able to be seen on this page, below.
“An absolute joy to play with my Uncle Bruce and the mighty E Street Band for the first time since touring together 15 years ago,” Weinberg wrote on YouTube. “My endless love and gratitude to everyone on and off that stage … true family. What an incredible night in Barcelona!”
The video was recorded by Rob DeMartin, Pam Springsteen and Chris Hilson, with sound by John Cooper, according to information posted on YouTube.
The son of E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg, Jay Weinberg currently plays for the band Suicidal Tendences and previously has played with Slipknot, Against Me! and Madball. “Radio Nowhere” was a staple of Springsteen’s setlists in 2009, when Jay took over for Max (who had a commitment to lead the house band of “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien”) for a substantial portion of the E Street tour.
