Jimmy Vivino and his band, the Black Italians, will headline this year’s edition of the free, annual Festival in the Borough in Downtown Washington (Warren County), Sept. 17.
Vivino was the guitarist and musical director for Conan O’Brien’s TV talk show house band, the Max Weinberg 7, and then became the bandleader when Weinberg left and the group morphed into the Basic Cable Band. He also is a member of the Beatles tribute band, The Fab Faux, and has performed with artists ranging from Keith Richards and Levon Helm to Elvis Costello.
There will be three stages at the event, as well as vendors, craft displays, children’s activities and food. Some seating will available but attendees may want to bring lawn chairs, according to a press release.
There will also be a pre-festival show, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m., with the Southern-rock band Southbound, at Veterans’ Park.
