Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny, Gary U.S. Bonds and John Cafferty, who all performed at last year’s Hope Concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, have signed up for this year’s show — the eighth in the benefit series — which takes place at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, Dec. 23.

The event, spearheaded by Bobby Bandiera — a former member of the Bon Jovi touring band as well as Southside Johnny’s Asbury Jukes — will raise money for 180 Turning Lives Around (which provides services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault), the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, and the Red Bank Borough Middle School’s new arts initiative (in collaboration with the Basie) to bring the arts to every child.

Tickets are $50 to $500, and the show will start at 7 p.m. (not, as originally announced, 8 p.m.); visit TheBasie.org.

More performers may be added, too. Last year’s show also featured performances by Gene Cornish (of The Rascals), John Eddie and others. Bruce Springsteen as well as artists such as the Max Weinberg 7, Brian Fallon (of The Gaslight Anthem) and Nicole Atkins have appeared at earlier Hope Concerts.
