Kean University’s Kean Stage program will stream a virtual holiday concert by Andrea McArdle, performing at the university’s Enlow Recital Hall (with no live audience), Dec. 17-20. This will be McArdle’s first performance since the pandemic began.

Accompanied by her music director, Steve Marzullo, on piano, McArdle performs seasonal material such as “White Christmas” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” in the show, which was filmed recently at Enlow Recital Hall.

She also sings Broadway standards — including her signature song, “Tomorrow,” from the musical “Annie” — and tells stories. McArdle, of course, played the title role in the original Broadway production of “Annie” in 1977, and became the youngest actress ever to be nominated for a Tony in the Lead Actress, Musical category.

“I enjoy singing ‘Tomorrow’ right now because people really need it,” said McArdle in a press release. “Talk about a song of hope and inspiration. In every sense, that song says, ‘Keep your chin up, it’ll be better.’ ”

The show will be streamed Dec. 17-18 at 7 p.m., Dec. 19 at 3 and 8 p.m., and Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. Visit keanstage.com.
