Willie Nile will perform at the Light of Day benefit at the Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair on Jan. 9.

Early this year, the long-running Light of Day concert series presented its first Northern New Jersey benefit, with Willie Nile, Garland Jeffreys, James Maddock, Steve Conte and Joe D’Urso trading songs and stories at the Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair. Early next year, on Jan. 9, they’re doing again, with Nile, D’Urso, Richard Barone, Jill Hennessy and Dramarama bandmates John Easdale and Peter Wood. Also, Chrissi Poland and Loretta Hagen will perform in the show’s “Opening Circle.”

Tickets for the show, which is titled “Songwriters Up Close and Personal,” are $35 ($100 for VIP tickets). To purchase, visit outpost.ticketleap.com. For information, visit OutpostInTheBurbs.org, LightOfDay.org or the event’s Facebook page.

As with all Light of Day shows, proceeds will go to Parkinson’s Disease research.

The show is part of the 16th annual Light of Day Festival, which takes place Jan. 8-18, mostly in Asbury Park. Performers at other shows will include Jeffreys, Maddock, Dramarama, Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, The Smithereens, Jesse Malin and Billy Hector.
