A Sept. 11 concert by Broadway and film star and recent Tony co-host Kristin Chenoweth will be the official kick-off for the 2015-16 season at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. It’s one of more than 150 events to take place from July through next June, and though tickets to some shows are on sale already, most will become available at June 15 at 9 a.m. via mayoarts.org, and at 10 a.m. by phone charge at (973) 539-8008.
Attractions will include Jackson Browne, Melissa Etheridge, Wendy Williams, Savion Glover, Itzhak Perlman, Chick Corea with Béla Fleck, Yanni, Los Lobos, Kathy Griffin and 14 performances of “The Nutcracker” by New Jersey Ballet and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
Approximately 20 to 30 more events are expected to be added to the season later.
Those who buy tickets for five or more events staged from July 1 to June 30, 2016, qualify for benefits such as the opportunity to buy tickets prior to public onsales, and to exchange tickets up to 48 hours before events.
