Lots of familiar names — including Tony Bennett, Art Garfunkel, Yes and Gordon Lightfoot — are on the 2016-17 schedule for the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, and the New Jersey Ballet and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will once again team up to present “The Nutcracker” for a good portion of December.
But there are some less traditional offerings as well, including a one-woman “Sex in the City,” featuring actress Kerry Ipema, March 18; a holiday show featuring Lisa Loeb, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray and others, Dec. 2; a tribute to the great blues songwriter Willie Dixon by rock band Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Nov. 15; a “Game of Thrones” parody, “Graeme of Thrones,” on March 29; and a talk by astronaut Scott Kelly, Jan. 12.
Tickets to most shows will go on sale June 13 at 9 p.m.
Asterisks (*) denote shows for which tickets are already on sale. Other shows go on sale June 13, unless otherwise stated. More shows will be added in the coming months.
