The Nerds will perform at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township, June 17.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown will kick off its 2021 summer drive-in concert series June 17, with six shows going on sale this week. The shows will take place at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township, as they did when the Mayo Center presented its first drive-in shows last year, in response to the pandemic. (The Mayo Center also presented some drive-in shows at Rockaway Townsquare Mall).

Tickets go on sale April 9 at 10 a.m. The space will be able to accommodate approximately 175 cars; no tickets will be sold at the gate.

Here are the shows:

June 17: The Nerds
June 18: The Sensational Soul Cruisers
July 14: “Classic Skynyrd Live” featuring Southern Steel
July 15: “David Clark’s Songs in the Attic: The Music of Billy Joel”
Aug. 18: The Jersey Tenors
Aug. 19: Boat House Row: The Yacht Rock Experience

The Mayo Center is currently presenting indoor shows, too, for limited-size audiences of 150 per show, and Trivia Nights on the plaza in front of the theater will return beginning April 29 and run every week through the end of June. Information on summer camps will be announced soon.
