What’s the funniest movie of all time? It’s impossible to say, of course. But since 1974, many have argued for Mel Brooks’ spoof of Westerns, “Blazing Saddles.”
The movie — whose cast includes Cleavon Little (as an African-American sheriff in the Old West), Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn, former football star Alex Karras and Brooks himself — will be shown on Oct. 15 at Prudential Hall of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, and Brooks himself will be on hand for a Q&A session.
Tickets for the event, titled “Mel Brooks … Back in the Saddle Again!,” are $49.50 to $99.50, and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., with a pre-sale Thursday at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
