DEE DEE BRIDGEWATER

There will be music, almost nonstop, in Montclair’s Nishuane Park on Aug. 13, as the Montclair Jazz Festival presents 13 sets in 10 hours. The 52nd Street Jazz Band will kick off the day at noon, and singer Dee Dee Bridgewater will headline with her quintet at 8:30 p.m. Bassist Christian McBride will perform with his electro-funk group A Christian McBride Situation — also featuring DJ Logic, drummer Bernard Purdie, keyboardist Rachel Z and others — immediately before that, at 7:15 p.m.

There is no admission charge, and folding chairs or blankets are recommended. For those who can’t make it there, the event will be streamed, live, at livestream.com.
