The Old Mogul Theatre, a new 400-capacity venue in Montclair, opens this weekend, with a “soft opening” show by Ryan Hobler and Matt Singer on Dec. 4, and a grand opening concert by former “The Voice” contestant Manny Cabo on Dec. 5. For information, visit the venue’s Facebook page.

Hobler, who lives in Montclair, is offering a free digital download of his album, The Elusive Yes, on his website ryanhobler.com, through Dec. 4, and will offer a free autographed copy of the CD for anyone who purchases an advance ticket via Eventbrite.

“When I first moved here three years ago,” said Hobler in a press release, “I quietly dreamed of immersing myself in the music scene in Montclair. With Outpost in the Burbs, Montclair Center Stage, and now, the Old Mogul Theatre, I am happy to be part of the dynamic and wonderfully evolving music scene here and now!”

The theater is located at 180 Bloomfield Ave., on the second floor.
