Phil Collins’ first major North American tour in 12 years will feature 15 concerts, including one at the Prudential Center in Newark, Oct. 13. It will be his first show as a solo artist in New Jersey since 1997.
Tickets will go on sale May 15 at 10 a.m., with various pre-sales before then. Visit philcollins.com.
The tour is titled “Not Dead Yet Live!” — a reference to Collins’ 2016 memoir, “Not Dead Yet” — and has already traveled to Europe and Latin America. Musicians will include guitarist Daryl Stuermer, keyboardist Brad Cole, bassist Leland Sklar and percussionist Luis Conte. Collins’ 16-year-old son, Nicolas, will play drums.
Other area stops will include the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Oct. 8; and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Oct. 14.
Collins, 67, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer as a member of Genesis, and has had a similar amount of success as a solo artist.
His last album, 2010’s Going Back, was a collection of covers; most were performed originally by ’60s Motown artists.
