After promising, yesterday, to reveal, today, “special plans” for his next SiriusXM DJ show, Bruce Springsteen had the E Street Radio channel’s Jim Rotolo announce, this morning, that the show, titled “In Dreams,” will premiere Friday at midnight on E Street Radio (channel 20).
“This one is for the nightcrawlers and night owls, as Bruce says … because the night time is the right time,” said Rotolo.
(Update: According to the SiriusXM blog, “Springsteen spins some of his own tracks, as well as songs by Roy Orbison, Leonard Cohen, Nancy Sinatra, Lana Del Rey, Ennio Morricone, The War On Drugs, and more.”)
Below is a video of Springsteen performing Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams” in 2013.
Springsteen has been doing the DJ show, titled “From My Home to Yours,” every other week since April 8.
You can read transcripts of what Springsteen has said on the previous nine shows, and see YouTube videos of all the songs he has played, via these links:
JULY 1 (featuring discussion with and songs by Southside Johnny and Steven Van Zandt)
JULY 29 (featuring discussion with and songs by Patti Scialfa).
