One of New Jersey’s most high-profile charity concert series, the Hope Concert, will present its seventh annual event Dec. 22 at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Bobby Bandiera and Friends will headline, and while no other guests have been announced, Jersey rock luminaries such as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny — all longtime friends and collaborators of Bandiera’s — have appeared at past Hope concerts, so anything is possible.
The theater’s web site says the show will feature an “All-Star lineup of Jersey Shore performers under the Musical Direction of Bobby Bandiera.”
Tickets, priced at $50 to $500, go on sale Oct. 3 at noon through countbasietheatre.org, the theater’s phone charge (732-842-9000), and the theater’s box office, at 99 Monmouth St. Proceeds go to Horizons (a summer and after-school enrichment program for low-income children) and the Count Basie Theatre’s arts education and outreach programs. The highest-priced tickets include access to a pre-show reception, and a commemorative poster.
Past Hope concerts have raised more than $1 million.
