Now in its third year, the Live on LBI series — taking place at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences in Long Beach Township — has announced its 2019 schedule.
There will be shows on three successive Thursdays in June. Stephen Kellogg, formerly of the band Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, will perform on June 13, with Sahara Moon opening. Veteran singer-songwriter Steve Forbert is scheduled for June 20, followed by Misfit Johnny’s “Pride: Tribute to U2″ show, with Chris Cygan opening.
“While LBI has always been a strong champion of the arts, the popular music arts have usually been relegated to cover bands playing in a bar setting,” said series founder Jim Steen, in a press release. “This series is a fully seated series, which appeals to perhaps a more discerning music fan.”
