Suffering from sinusitis, Steven Van Zandt has cancelled all his currently scheduled shows except for two: Nov. 2 at the Chevalier Theatre in Medford, Mass.; and Nov. 6 at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

He also has announced that the New York show will be filmed for a future live album and DVD.

Van Zandt and his Disciples of Soul band had been scheduled to tour throughout October, mostly in The South and The Midwest.

“I thought I could shake this sinusitis, but it doesn’t seem to be going away,” he said, in a press release. “I’ve never canceled shows before. I feel terrible about this, but my doctors are telling me there’s just no way to continue right now. We were really looking forward to continuing this 90-show tour around the world. We want to thank the fans for all of their support. I really hope we can make up these dates someday somehow.”
