This first edition dust jacket of “The Great Gatsby” is part of the Princeton University Library’s digital exhibition about the novel.

F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author of “The Great Gatsby,” attended Princeton University in the 1910s. He died in 1940, and his daughter donated his papers to the library in 1950.

The month marks the 100th anniversary of the classic book’s publication, and a number of special events are planned by the library — in many cases, in collaboration with other Princeton institutions. Most are free and open to to the public, though some require tickets or registration.
