The rumors are true. Guns N’ Roses members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan will reunite for a 20-date summer tour. And one of the shows will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, on July 23.

Ticket go on sale April 8 at 10 a.m. through livenation.com, with a pre-sale for Citi card members, April 4 at 10 a.m. (visit citiprivatepass.com).

(April 25 update: A show has not been added for July 24, too).

(May 18 update: Lenny Kravitz will opening both shows)

According to a press release, the group will perform tonight at their old stomping grounds, The Troubadour in Los Angeles, to preview the tour.

The tour begins June 23 in Detroit and ends Aug. 22 in San Diego, and will also include a show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, July 14.

Guns N’ Roses opened for Aerosmith at MetLife Stadium’s Meadowlands predecessor, Giants Stadium, in 1988 — and shot their “Paradise City” video there (watch below) — and also co-headlined with Metallica there in 1992.
