In celebration of Bruce Springsteen’s upcoming 75th birthday, The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University will present an event titled “Springsteen on Screen: From the Vault with Thom Zimny,” Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the university’s Pollak Theatre.
According to a press release, Zimny, who is a longtime Springsteen associate, “will screen Springsteen footage and discuss his work documenting, preserving, and interpreting Springsteen’s legendary, 50-plus year career.”
Tickets, priced at $50, will go on sale Sept. 9 at noon, HERE, and at the university’s box office at its Ocean First Bank Center. Cellphones will be prohibited at the event.
“Thom’s films will show the history of Bruce’s prolific career and will give us an intimate look into the mind that created such amazing music,” said Archives director Eileen Chapman, in the press release.
Springsteen’s birthday is on Sept. 23.
